We have our hasty packs, we have our 12 and 24 hours packs; But if you are handling a Forensic Dog
you should have a specialized pack to accomidate your efforts and findings.
Here is a list of what I carry in my personal HRD Search Pack.
* Start with a good sized fanny pack. Your not going to need a lot of gear....
* Blank paper and pencil (for sketching scene details)
* Flagging Tape
* Dog Debrief Form (I keep one in Dominos vest)
* Clue Log Form
* Small Note Book
* 2pr Latex Gloves
* 4 Wire Flags (I use orange)
* Sharpie to write on tape and flags
* Surgical Mask (helps with smell and mold/fungi spores)
* Prodding Stick (to check for spaces or voids in the earth) Prod at least 18 inches.
* 2 bottles of H2O and fold up dog bowl
* First Aid Supply - Human and K9 (this should be in every pack you own...)
* GPS (a must have for documenting)
Remember to document EVERYTHING....
You may have to appear in court at some point and if you didn't write it down......
